WARNING: BEFORE READING, KNOW THAT THIS IS A REVIEW ON THE SECOND NOVEL IN THE HOUSE OF NIGHT SERIES
As a sort of sequel to my previous review on the novel Marked, I will review the second book in the series, called Betrayed. I thought that this book was just as good as the first one if not better. The characters continue to develop, especially the main character Zoey and her mentor, Neferet. The plot becomes more complex and interesting but is still somewhat easy to follow.
To be honest, I thought that this book was one of the most well thought out books that I have ever read. Even though it wasn’t my favorite, it really plays into the whole mysterious atmosphere that the first book had. Also, it has a great ending which I am sure will lead up to other great books. Also, the plot is complex and leaves many question unanswered, which will again, create a great third book. Overall, I would probably recommend this book to just about anyone because there are a lot of different aspects and themes that could appeal to just about anyone.
