I found this book to be very interesting and thought that the story was great! There were a lot of different conflicts and questions presented within the novel, not all of which were resolved/answered, so it definitely made room for more books in the series. This book presents a new look at the modern vampire, which is refreshing compared to the stereotypical gorgeous sparkling romantics you would find in most other novels. At the same time, it highlights some of the more classical points of a vampire, such as the need to drink blood, magical powers etc.. This book is definitely not a book for younger readers though. I would recommend this book for kids in eighth grade and higher because there are a few pieces that aren’t so kid friendly. At the same time, if you think you can deal with that, go for it because it is definitely a book that is worth your time.
